What is NCOP?

NCOP- NCOP (New Cadet Orientation Program) is a 2 day event that helps new cadets get started in ROTC. It is usually 1 or 2 weeks before the Fall semester starts. NCOP this Fall will be 30 Aug and 31 Aug at 0745 - 1600. At NCOP new cadets will learn about the program and what it is going to be like in ROTC. Some of the subjects include proper Customs and Courtesies (how to talk and interact with people in the program) such as when they are greeting a commissioned Officer. Cadets also learn basic drill movements, such as standing at the position of attention, facing movements, and saluting. We also introduce them to the kind of Physical Training that we do for ROTC Physical Training. This is the Cadets first insight into being a Cadet in the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Michigan.
