CAPTAIN HENRY V. JACKOWSKI

Captain Henry V. Jackowski serves as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 390, University of Michigan.

Captain Jackowski was raised in Crown Point, Indiana, and enlisted in the Air Force in July 2003. He graduated from the University of Arkansas-Grantham and received his commission through Officer Training School in November 2018.

His first assignment was at Minot AFB, North Dakota where Captain Jackowski served as a Missile Maintenance Team Member and Team Chief for the 5th Munitions Squadron Special Weapons Flight. During that period, he deployed as a Munitions Maintenance Crew Chief in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2008, Captain Jackowski was assigned to Vandenberg AFB, where he served as an instructor, instructor supervisor, and Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Cruise Missile Maintenance Training Course. In 2012, Captain Jackowski returned to Minot AFB where he served as Bay Chief, Air Launched Missile Maintenance Section, and as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Verification and Checkout Equipment Section. In 2016, he was re-assigned to Barksdale AFB and served as the Cruise Missile Sustainment Manager for Air Force Global Strike Command staff, where he was selected for commission through Officer Training School. Upon completion of Undergraduate Cyber Training, Captain Jackowski proceeded to the 51st Combat Communications Squadron where he was the Officer in Charge of the Squadron’s Plans and Readiness Flight and Officer in Charge of the Network Operations Flight. At the culmination of this assignment, he deployed to Chabelley Airfield, Republic of Djibouti, as the Mission Support Flight Commander.
